Explore Cozumel’s reefs, dive or plunge with intention, awareness, and respect. This is our Sub Culture. Guided by expert locals in small groups who treat the ocean like home — because it is.
Sub Culture was shaped by the waves and tides, by divers who live here, work here, who come from the sea and protect these reefs every day.
We keep our groups small so your experience can be big and impactful. More time underwater, more attention from your guide, and more bottom time to enjoy and protect the reef.
Homegrown guides genuinely cared for & our livelihood ecosystem/home.

Cozumel sits along the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the largest reef system in the Atlantic and one of the most alive on the planet. Drift within the Mexican Caribbean Biosphere Reserve, in Cozumel’s famous currents past coral walls, swim-throughs, turtles, sharks, Spotted Eagle rays, and other keystone species — with exquisite visibility often over 100 ft.
When you dive into this Sub Culture, you are not only exploring a reef, you are helping protect it. We are the Change we wish to sea.
All experiences are led in small groups with expert local guides and designed around comfort, safety, and respect for the reef.
Unhurried two-tank drift dives through coral walls, swim-throughs, and vibrant marine life. Guided by locals who know and emerge from these waters, the sub life and the culture of the local communities that protect it.
Introduce yourself to the sub world and try scuba with personal instruction in calm, shallow waters before exploring the reef at your own pace. A fun “right of passage” to our sub aquatic lineage.
From Open Water to advanced specialties, build confidence with experienced guides with Sub Culture DNA who prioritize safety, comfort, fun and reef respect.
Family and friends can share the reef day with guided snorkeling or mixed diver/non-diver outings in crystal clear Caribbean waters.
Small groups. Unhurried dives. Guides who know the reef like home. These are the details guests mention again and again. The details guests see, notice, remember, and that make a big and lasting impression.
Posted on Jose Luis DomenzainTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
